And so we work with quality brands and types only. Tier One: Risen Energy, Canadian Solar & Trina Solar.

Things to consider when choosing solar panels

Quality, Quality & Quality

Tier One solar panels are known for their great durability. This means that their tweet five year performance warranties will be honoured. Their automated manufacturing techniques reduce the likelihood of defects, and their long-standing reputation assures that any issues that emerge will be resolved.

Aesthetics

We believe in good looking. Handsome. Not only should the panels perform well but look good while they are doing it. We have a number of options to choose from.

Type of panel

  • Monocrystalline – As the oldest type available, monocrystalline panels have become the most developed. While they may be the most expensive, they are known to be the most efficient.
  • Polycrystalline – Newer than monocrystalline but gaining traction amongst consumers. The efficiency is a bit lower

Performance

Performance is an important aspect when choosing solar panels. High performance panels ensure that batteries charge efficiently and produce enough electricity whenever needed.

Panel size

As solar panels generate more energy per square meter, they require ample overall space. This can help with planning the whole configuration setup.

Roof compatibility and mounting

Since placement is vital in harnessing solar energy and generating power, it’s best to see which areas are getting the most sun exposure. As a rule of thumb, it’s best to avoid placing them in areas where they may be obstructed by trees, buildings, and other structures.

As an important part of the whole installation, the mounting system and under construction must be of good quality.

Durability

As panels will be exposed to the elements, durability is another factor must be taken into account.

Warranty

Warranty is established to protect consumer, rights and so this is another crucial aspect to consider.

Provider maintenance

Solar panels are made up of components that degrade over time, and so they will require servicing and cleaning from time to time.

While cleaning and debris removal can be easily done, component checks must be serviced by a professional.
